August 26, 2026
On August 25, the 2026 Expert Appointment Ceremony of the Silk Road Planning Research Center and the thematic event on deepening “soft connectivity” to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) going global were held in Beijing.
The event was jointly organized by the Silk Road Planning Research Center, the China Centre for Promotion of SME Development under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Administrative Committee of Fengtai Park of Zhongguancun Science Park. As a co-organizer, Baiyun Power Group (BPG) participated in the event and was invited to deliver a keynote speech.

Nearly 300 participants attended the event, including government officials, industry experts, representatives of financial institutions, overseas enterprises and SMEs. Discussions focused on supporting high-quality international development of Chinese enterprises under the Belt and Road Initiative, with exchanges covering areas such as alignment of standards and regulations, inspection, testing and certification, and coordination of digital trade rules.

Appointed as Think Tank Expert to Contribute Industry Expertise
During the expert appointment ceremony, Hu Dezhao, Chairman of Baiyun Power Group and Vice Chairman of the Guangdong Federation of Industry and Commerce, was officially appointed as an expert of the Silk Road Planning Research Center.

The appointment recognizes his extensive experience in the power and energy industry, Belt and Road international cooperation and cross-border industrial development. It also reflects recognition of BPG’s achievements in international development.
Through participation in think tank research and policy discussions, the Group will be able to contribute practical industry experience and provide additional reference for supporting the international development of SMEs and better aligning policy research with real industrial needs.
Sharing BPG's Path to International Market Access
During the keynote session, Chairman Hu shared BPG’s international development journey and experience in industrial collaboration through a presentation entitled
“From Certification to Global Markets: The International Market Access Journey of Chinese Manufacturing.”

Drawing on BPG’s practices across different countries and markets, he introduced the Group’s experience in international product certification, adaptation to local standards, customer qualification and project implementation.
He noted that enterprise internationalization should move beyond opportunity-driven exports centered on individual products or projects and gradually develop into a systematic approach covering certification, product adaptation, customer access, project implementation and brand development.
Through this process, product capabilities can be transformed into customer trust, while successful project experience can become long-term brand assets, enabling companies to further integrate into local industrial ecosystems.
Connecting Global Markets and Unlocking Industrial Synergies
As one of China’s leading enterprises in the power and energy equipment sector, Baiyun Power Group has actively participated in Belt and Road cooperation for many years. Its international business now covers markets across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and other countries and regions, with an expanding overseas market network and increasingly localized operations.
In recent years, BPG has continued to expand its international business footprint and steadily advance its global presence. Multiple core products have obtained international certifications, while innovative products have entered overseas markets. The Group’s capabilities in international market development and localized services have also continued to improve.

At the same time, BPG has leveraged industrial collaboration platforms to integrate overseas channels and resources, working with upstream and downstream partners to explore international markets together and helping more Chinese enterprises expand globally.
The successful event provided a platform for deepening international cooperation and improving support systems for SMEs entering global markets.
Looking ahead, Baiyun Power Group will continue to leverage its strong industrial foundation and overseas project experience, strengthen collaboration with industry partners, professional institutions and international partners, and jointly explore more stable and efficient pathways for Chinese manufacturing enterprises to expand globally.
Through high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, BPG will continue to expand international partnerships and contribute to the advancement of Chinese manufacturing across the global value chain.
